jULIA CARPENTER, ASSOCIATE MARRIAGE & FAMILY THERAPIST, Associate Professional Clinical Counselor
My role as a psychotherapist is to help people deepen their connection to themselves and find emotional well-being. As an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC), and an EMDR certified clinician, I believe the most powerful healing happens within the context of a genuine, empathically attuned relationship.
My approach is anchored in psychodynamic and humanistic theoretical approaches, and I am deeply informed by Jungian and Depth Psychotherapy. This means looking beyond surface symptoms to explore the richness and wisdom of your unconscious self—the dreams, symbols, and patterns that hold the key to your story. I will work together with you to understand the forces shaping your life, facilitating a journey toward greater insight and the realization of your unique potential (individuation). Additionally, I incorporate a variety of theories and techniques, always tailoring the work to your unique needs.
I operate from a foundational trauma-informed approach, recognizing that much of what brings us to therapy is the deep residue of past experiences. I strive to cultivate a safe, authentic, nonjudgmental space for individuals of all backgrounds to gently meet and process these hurts.
To support this holistic healing journey, I integrate my extensive training in mindfulness, somatic awareness, and the creative arts to allow you to unlock pathways to deeper self-knowledge and lasting transformation.
I look forward to walking alongside you on your path.

Client Feedback
“I would like to beg of you, dear friend, as well as I can, to have patience with everything that remains unsolved in your heart.Try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books written in a foreign language. Do not look for the answers. They cannot now be given to you because you could not live them. It is a question of experiencing everything. At present you need to live the question. Perhaps you will gradually, without even noticing it, find yourself experiencing the answer some distant day.”
