MANY OF THE PEOPLE WE WORK WITH ARE CREATIVES, ENTREPRENEURS, LEADERS, AND PROFESSIONALS NAVIGATING COMPLEX INNER LIVES
Together we explore the emotional, relational, and psychological patterns that shape how you live, work, create, and connect. Our clinicians have particular experience supporting anxiety, life transitions, relationships, identity questions, self-esteem, recovery, and personal growth.
Counseling & Psychotherapy in Venice, CA
At Intuitive Therapy, we support individuals, couples, families, and groups in engaging deeply with the process of self-discovery, healing, and individuation.
Our integrative approach draws on Depth Psychology, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic Practices, Expressive Arts, and Emotionally Focused Therapy. This multidisciplinary framework creates a reflective and dynamic space to explore the unconscious, reconnect with the authentic self, and work with both creative and emotional material in a grounded, psychologically rigorous way.
Grounded in a trauma-informed orientation, our work supports clients in accessing inner resilience and developing more conscious, sustainable relationships with themselves and others—fostering change that is both profound and enduring.
“Our job in this life is not to shape ourselves into some ideal we imagine we ought to be, but to find out who we already are and become it.”
— Steven Pressfield

THERAPEUTIC MODALITIES & APPROACHES
We draw from multiple depth-oriented and experiential approaches as psychological healing, creative development, and relational change are not linear processes. We work collaboratively, allowing the therapeutic process to emerge in response to each person’s inner life, history, and present circumstances.
-

Internal Family Systems
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a modality that helps us reframe the totality of our experience as individual parts which have specific roles in our psychological system. By coming to know these parts we can achieve increased capacity to heal internal conflicts and increase self-awareness.
-

Jungian Depth Approaches
A profound approach to understanding the human psyche. Grounded in depth psychology and psychodynamic traditions, this work attends to unconscious patterns, inner dynamics, and the symbolic dimensions of experience that shape meaning, identity, and long-term change.
-

Somatic & Embodied Approaches
Somatic practices support awareness of bodily experience and nervous-system regulation, allowing psychological material to be processed in a paced, embodied, and sustainable way. By attending to the effects of trauma held in the nervous system, this work supports greater internal safety, mind–body integration, and resilience.
-

Expressive & Creative Process
Expressive Arts Therapy is a therapeutic approach that engages various art forms—such as visual arts, music, dance, and drama—to facilitate self-expression and healing. Creative activities can help us process emotions and explore our inner world.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Yes. We offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation to help you determine whether we’re the right fit for your needs. During this conversation, you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions, share what you’re hoping to work on, and discuss which therapist may be the best match for you before scheduling your first appointment.
SCHEDULE HERE -
Individual therapy sessions are 50 minutes. Couples therapy sessions are 75 minutes to allow additional space for both partners to explore and process together.
Most clients begin with weekly sessions, which provides consistency and helps build a strong therapeutic foundation. As your needs evolve, your therapist may recommend adjusting the frequency based on your goals and progress.
Our goal is to create a rhythm that feels supportive, sustainable, and aligned with your therapeutic process.
-
Yes, we offer therapy conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform.
Virtual therapy offers the flexibility to meet from the comfort and privacy of your own space while maintaining the same level of care and connection as in-person therapy. As long as you are physically located in a state where your therapist is licensed to practice at the time of your session, you can meet with us online.
-
We are an out-of-network practice and do not bill insurance directly. If your plan includes out-of-network benefits, we’re happy to provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.
Because every insurance plan is different, we recommend contacting your provider before beginning therapy.
Helpful questions to ask include:Does my plan include out-of-network mental health benefits?
What percentage of each session will be reimbursed?
Is there a deductible I need to meet first?
Are there limits on the number of therapy sessions covered?
Do I need to submit any additional forms with my superbill?
If you have questions about the reimbursement process, we’re happy to help.
