Family Therapy
Nurturing Connections, Fostering Growth
Family Therapy is an incredible opportunity for profound individual and collective healing. With a focus on family dynamics, intergenerational patterns, and healthy boundaries, I help families navigate transitions, rebuild trust, and create more cohesive relationships. Together we map the family system to make unconscious dynamics more visible while creating a space for each member to feel heard and understood. I guide families in addressing past traumas, setting clear boundaries, and developing authentic connections and mutual support in a safe environment.

Family Systems Therapy views the family as a living system where each member’s actions and emotions impact one another. By bringing to light the often-unseen patterns of interaction, families can create lasting change. Through facilitated dialogue, individuals learn to express themselves openly and listen deeply in a more supportive environment, with clear boundaries that respect each person’s needs.

Intergenerational patterns and inherited traumas can profoundly shape a family’s emotional landscape. Using insights from Bowen Family Therapy and Family Constellation Therapy, families can uncover and transform these influences. Together we explore how past dynamics and unhealed wounds impact current relationships to increase awareness and strengthen the family as a unit.

Changes in the family landscape can have longstanding impact. I work with family members to process transitions, such as loss, divorce, relocation, or welcoming with new family members. Addressing the unique emotional needs of each person involved, we can consciously attend to shifting family structures to cultivate a sense of belonging and stability amidst change.

Drawing from Satir Family Therapy, I facilitate conversations that allow family members to express their needs and emotions—including those related to past traumas—in a safe, non-judgmental space. We learn to value the individuality of each member in the family so they can feel more fully expressed. I use techniques such as family mapping to help families visualize their dynamics in order to nurture new patterns of connection.
“Feelings of worth can flourish only in an atmosphere where individual differences are appreciated, mistakes are tolerated, communication is open, and rules are flexible — the kind of atmosphere that is found in a nurturing family.”
