“The hero in each of us is required to answer the call of individuation. We must turn away from the cacaphony of the outerworld to hear the inner voice. When we can dare to live its promptings, then we achieve personhood. We may become strangers to those who thought they knew us, but at least we are no longer strangers to ourselves.”
— James Hollis

Self Esteem
BUILDING FROM WITHIN
-
In our sessions, we explore the roots of self-perception, namely how history and significant life events have molded our views of ourselves. Therapy provides an environment to identify the subconscious scripts that inform self-esteem and to challenge those that are detrimental.
-
Internal Family Systems (IFS) offers a powerful framework for enhancing self-esteem by exploring and transforming the internal parts that carry negative beliefs about the Self. We identify and engage with these parts—often carrying old beliefs about inadequacy, shame, or unworthiness. By understanding their intentions and transforming their roles within the psyche, we foster a more cohesive and compassionate self-view.
-
Modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness practices are integrated to develop practical skills for improving self-esteem. These include techniques for addressing negative thought patterns, enhancing self-awareness, and cultivating a present-oriented attitude towards ourselves.

A significant aspect of our work is making space for true self-acceptance. This involves embracing both strengths and vulnerabilities, and learning to value oneself without condition. Through inner child work, creative depth practices, and relational attunement, we nurture an environment where the true self can feel seen, held, and valued, leading to a more authentic and positive self-image.
