Individual Psychotherapy

The Path of Individuation

I work with people seeking to create a genuine shift in their lives. I specialize in Depth Psychotherapy, an approach that explores the conscious and unconscious processes to nurture insight, growth, and change. By making the unconscious conscious, we can more fully understand emotional and behavioral patterns. I use an integrative approach that includes Depth, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic Psychotherapy, Humanistic Psychology, and creative expression. We approach challenges through a trauma-informed lens, meaning we begin to understand our patterns with curiosity and compassion, which I have found to be a pathway toward cultivating significant transformation.

  • Depth Psychotherapy delves into the unconscious, the part of the psyche that operates outside of our conscious awareness. By exploring patterns, symbols, dreams, and creative expression, we gain insight into the beliefs and motivations that inform our behaviors and emotions. By making the unconscious conscious, we can create greater meaning from our experience to achieve more profound levels of self-understanding.

  • Somatic Psychotherapy approaches an individual as an integrated whole, recognizing the interconnection between the mind and body. Emotions, memories, and past traumas are often stored in the body. By developing greater awareness of these sensations and our response to them, we can access greater emotional regulation and an increased sense of internal stability and safety.

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a brilliant model for understanding the multiplicity of our inner experience. This approach views the psyche as various "parts" that serve different roles in our psychological system. Through the process of getting to know these parts, we can resolve internal conflicts in the present and past. This work can lead to a more integrated sense of self, compassionate understanding, and emotional balance.

  • A healthy therapeutic relationship can foster an experience of trust and vulnerability, which are crucial for emotional healing. If we have complex attachment patterns, a repartive relational connnection with a therapist can foster more profound change. Through a Humanistic psychotherapy lens, we emphasize the client's capacity for self-actualization through empathetic attunement and authentic experience.

“Tell me what you yearn for and I shall tell you who you are.
We are what we reach for, the idealized image that drives our wandering.”
